Ko Taumarere taku awa
Ko Ngatokimatawhaorua tak waka
Ko Matawaia taku marae
Ko Ngapuhi taku iwi
Ko Ngati Hine taku hapu
Ko Laquan taku ingoa

    It's a big piece of mahi (work) finding out your pepeha and where you are from. My husband has the same waka as you.

    Have you been to your marae and stayed overnight? Have you visited your maunga (mountain) and awa (river)? Who helped you with your pepeha?
